Data Playback
- Replay a recorded episode straight in the browser from the file manager: multiple camera videos, audio, and sensor charts together.
- A sidebar sensor selector and a multi-camera grid; the timeline scales to the clip length and the scroll wheel seeks quickly; phones and tablets adapt automatically.
Batch Export & Transfers
- Select several recordings and export them at once — as a single ZIP, or one file per recording.
- Uploads and exports share one view, with a "reset" action that clears all transfer state in one click (uploaded marks are kept); in-progress transfers resume on their own after a page refresh.
- A dedicated column shows each recording's upload status at a glance.
- Recordings larger than 4 GB now export and upload correctly.
Trustworthy Recordings
- Each recording captures its own configuration the moment it starts, and the exported metadata reflects exactly what was recorded.
- Data-integrity information is written safely as the recording proceeds, so an unexpected interruption cannot corrupt it.
- A sensor that captured no data is now clearly marked as an error instead of appearing normal.
Grippers & Sensors
- The IMU and the gripper's built-in IMU now sample at 240 Hz for finer motion detail (video conversion matches).
- The gripper has a recording indicator light — it blinks while recording and is off during preview and standby.
- Calibrate the gripper's magnetic encoder in one click from the configuration page, with an "irreversible" warning beforehand and a clear reason if it fails.
- Playback charts and MCAP output no longer include the unused magnetometer data.
- System settings now show the device serial number.
Firmware Upgrades
- Firmware is delivered through a new pipeline with a task queue and install history, so upgrades apply in order and each step can be traced and diagnosed. The device warns you not to cut power during the upgrade restart.
- New firmware is available for the head-hub IMU and the gripper's magnetic encoder.
- Connect every gripper and the head hub before starting a firmware install. Each connected device is flashed in turn; any device left unplugged is skipped, so make sure all grippers and the head hub are attached first.
Stability
- Grippers and IMUs are reliable straight from a cold boot: no more capture hangs, offline sensors, or false error alarms in the first moments after power-on.
- Unplugging and replugging a gripper or IMU now recovers on its own — the sensor comes back without restarting anything.
- Alarms sound only while recording and clear the instant you stop; the recording state (starting / recording / stopping) is shown clearly, and a failed start returns cleanly to idle.
- Turning live preview on and off is reliable, with no leftover or stale video connections.
- Setting the IMU sample rate no longer freezes the sensors.
Responsiveness
- The interface stays smooth even while the device is trimming, compressing, or uploading — status and metrics no longer wait behind disk work.
- Fixed the occasional "Network Error / request failed" messages seen when the device was idle or busy, and the broken live updates after refreshing a deep link.
Data Quality
- Fixed the first recording after a cold boot exporting with a wrong, low frame rate and gaps in its timeline.
Interface & Configuration
- While recording or previewing, actions that would interrupt it are greyed out with a tooltip, and leaving the page during a transfer asks for confirmation first.
- Recording start/stop and countdown cues play from pre-recorded audio, so the English and Chinese prompts are clear and never overlap.
- Each camera model starts at a resolution it actually supports, reducing manual adjustment.
- The mobile control tab is simpler, without the redundant sensor-status panel.
- System logs rotate by size, so they can't fill the disk.
